●Name:
potassium nitrate (saltpeter), molecular formula: KNO3, relative molecular weight is 101.1.
●Property:
Colorless transparent orthorhombic system or white powder; relative density is 2.109; melting point is 334℃; it separates oxygen at 400℃ and transfers into potassium nitrite; easy soluble in water, liquid ammonia and glycerol; insoluble in absolute ethyl alcohol and diethyl ether. It is strong oxidant and explosive contacting with organic matters releasing pungent smell toxic gas. Heating with carbon dust, it emits strong light and burns.
●Use:
It is used in the production of kinescope glass bulb, vehicle lamp glass bulb, glass clarifying agent, fertilizer, flame, black powder, explosives, penicilline potassium salt, catalyst, beneficiation agent, ceramic glaze, preservative and etc.

Outer textile bag or paper-plastic compound bag, inner plastic bag, net weight 20/25/50/1000KG.
●Storage:
It should be stored in cool, ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid moisture and kept away heat and fir. It should not be stored and transported with organic materials, sulfuric acid and etc to avoid explosive phenomenon. In transportation, pay attention to rain and strong sunlight. Be careful in assemble to avoid strike.
