Magnesium nitrate, molecular formula Mg（NO3）2 .6H2O; relative molecular weight is 256.41
●Property:
Colorless monoclinic crystal or white crystal; easy soluble in water, liquid ammonia, alcohol and carbinol; easy to deliquesce; it dehydrated after the temperature is 95℃ over melting point; it begin to resolve at 300℃ and totally resolve into magnesium oxide and nitrogen oxides gas at about 400℃.
●Use:
In industry, it is used in the production of dehydrating agent, explosive, accelerant, magnesium salt, nitrate, wheat ashing agent and chemical reagent in laboratory.
